The Place: Punta San Carlos is the dream. You are so disconnected from the modern world; no mains electric, or mains water, limited internet, nothing for miles around, nothing to distract you from quite possibly the most amazing down-the-line wave riding in the World. Solosports have created an incredible camp here, with as much luxury as you could expect, given the surroundings, and kit wise, the centre is fully loaded with windsurf and surf equipment
Coaching: This clinic runs for 2 weeks at a cost of 800€ for the coaching. We will be on the water everyday focussing, of course, on wave riding.
level: This place is for out and out down the line wave riding on pretty big waves, it’s best if you are already have the wave sailing basics.
conditions: The wind blows cross-off, so you gun along on a broad reach and chose your section to hit where the wave peaks along its kilometer and half length. The fact that with each run in you will catch a wave with the potential to try minimum five turns, right up to a maximum of twenty turns means you waste no time improving and learning. When the ‘system’ is working the wind blows all day and you will sail anything from a 3.7 to 5.0, otherwise there tends to be a thermal that comes in in the afternoon allowing for some wobble and ride.
The Package: Solosports’ adventures include;
Round trip private plane transportation from San Diego to their own airstrip in Punta San Carlos
All your food and beverages (you will eat like Kings and drinks include beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and our world famous Baja Fogs - they have an outside bar & lounge.
Unlimited use of all our top of the line windsurf gear.
Use of all of their other toys; surfboards, stand up paddle boards, mountain bikes, kayaks and more.
Each guest gets a deluxe tent fully loaded with pads, pillows and freshly laundered sleeping bags, daily hot showers, access to emails and use of our game room with TV/DVD, pool table, darts, foosball and library!
All this in the absolute middle of nowhere Mexican Desert!
Their 15 day Saturday to Saturday fly in adventures cost $5,250.00, include all the above and get you in the water all 15 days.
** They do have a deal called "Ticket 2 Ride” where you pay in full before December 31st and save $600.00.
All you need to do is show up to their planes at Brown Field in San Diego and we’ll take care of the rest.
Their planes depart for Punta San Carlos on the first Saturday of your trip at 11:00am and they’ll have you back to the same Brown Field about 5:00pm on the last Saturday.
Temp: Its boardshorts all the way on the beach but a long winter suit on the water. It also cools down a lot at night so bring a hoody, jeans, warm boots and maybe even a hat and gloves!

currency: Dollar – but everything is included, there is nothing to pay for and nowhere to buy anything!

what else to bring: We will as always being doing plenty of video coaching sessions, so be sure to bring a BIG USB to take home all of your footage. A good book with a battery powered light!
What else the town offers: There are some great mountain bike trails near by and the centre also has bikes! Other than that you are in the middle of nowhere – relax!
