SIDI KAUKI,

MORROCCO

"starboard tack jumping was out of this world"

TREVOR WITHERINGTON
WSC CLIENT

Date: 03-08 MAY 2026

The Place: The clinic is Located in the beautiful coastal village of Sidi Kaouki, Just 10 minutes south of Essouera International airport. The Village is famous for its 2km long golden sandy beach, with regular trade winds offering both crosshore and cross offshore conditions providing great condtions for jumping and down the line wave riding, making this the perfect spot for taking your wavesailing to the next level.
The BoujXSports centre is located right at the top of the beach and offer rental and kit storage including wingfoils, Wave Sups and surfboards. The village has a variety of traditional moroccan restaurants and accomodation options including Hotels, Guest houses and AirBnB.

Coaching: The coaching will be from Colin Dixon assisted by Luke Baillie. With a combined coaching experience of over 40 years you are sure to get the detailed technical breakdown to really elevate your sailing. The clinic will have video feedback and on the water coaching to make sure you hit your goals throughout the week.

level: This clinic is for wave sailors looking to progress their skills in starboard tack conditions, if you are already sailing in waves riding waves and comfortable doing some jumps then this is the one for you. The Moroccan coastline offers many different spots and conditions so although the clinic is based on the beach of Sidi Kaouki we sometimes travel to get the best conditions.

moulay wave riding

conditions: The reason Boujmaa got so good is the consistent wind Moulay has to offer.  The trade winds and Atlantic swell that hit the reef in Moulay provide awesome down the line starboard tack wave riding conditions. June and July are the windiest months but relatively the flattest, Moulay gets up to double mast high in the winter months but a more comfortable boom to logo high during summer.

Travel: Flights are running direct from Stansted to  Essauoira through Ryan air.

the package: We will be staying at the BoujXHouse just 5 minutes walk from the beach with ocean views and the option of half board or full board.  The rooms at the house are big, with a balcony, and will be adapted for couples or 3 person shared rooms.
Half or full board catering is also provided at the house and tasty Moroccan cuisine will be served al fresco!

Prices are as follows:

Kit rental, transfers (shared) & Full board: 620 Euro for the week.

Kit rental, transfers (shared) & Half board: 580 Euro for the week.

*If you are bringing your own kit the cost reduces by 240 Euro, storage is free at the house or 5 Euro per day at the centre.

What else the town offers: Moulay itself is very small, just a little village but 20km down the coast is the bustling town of Essaouira which is worth a visit for it’s cheap and tasty street food and bazaars and for Game of Thrones fans it was used as the set for some of The Dragon Queen’s scenes in Slavers Bay.

what else to bring: We will as always being doing plenty of video coaching sessions, so be sure to bring a BIG USB to take home all of your footage.  The house does have wifi but the internet here is slow, good enough for basic emails but if your require decent speeds you can collect sim cards at the airport from INWI (they give them away for free) and you can top up with 10 Euro giving you 9GB of internet.

Temp: Although the air temperature is hot the sea is a bit chilly so a summer suit either full or shorty.
