Luke Baillie

Luke has been in windsurfing since he was a younger ripper, starting off racing on One Design and sailing the Cornish lake Siblyback where he enticed Colin into the sport earned his coaching stripes alongside him.  Luke is qualified up to the hilt within the RYA system, even as a race coach and by the age of 21 was managing a centre.  The draw of the waves captured Luke at 19 and he spent many winters travelling to Australia, living in the bush at Coronation Beach and honing his jumping and wave riding skills, which then lead on to pushing himself back home on the lake in freestyle.  In 2010 Luke began managing Club Dahab and stayed for 5 years.  He is now based permanently in El Medano, enjoying life back in the waves once more, and on hand to coach with Colin during his clinics there!

lizzie baillie

Lizzie is not only Colin’s PA and Windsurf Coaching’s office manager but she is also a skilled windsurfer and coach herself.  Compared with the rest of the team Lizzie is relatively new to the sport, she only started windsurfing in 2010 when she luckily landed herself the dream job in Dahab she quickly progressed and is a dab hand at freestyle, wave sailing and is a great coach.

Lizzie is now based permanently in El Medano and loving getting back on the water after a few years off to have kids.  Lizzie runs the WindSurf Coaching Water Women clinics in El Medano.

ben proffitt

Ben has been a professional/semi professional windsurfer since he left college at 19 years old.
He has been windsurfing for a total of nearly 30 years as he started in 1987 he is still as passionate about windsurfing now as he was when he first started back at Bala Lake in the 80’s!
He has been involved with nearly every discipline in windsurfing from Tiga Aloha U15’s racing (where he place 3rd in the world) to Race board (National champion many times) to a 4 year Mistral One design Olympic Campaign (he made the pre Olympics twice) to Freestyle (National champion) then moving into Wave sailing (British champion many times/highest ranking at PWA event 5th) to Indoor windsurfing (World champion Slalom) so he’s had a lot of experience in a lot of disciplines at the highest level.
Ben is perhaps now best known for his Training Diaries, Windsurfing.tv and PWA commentary, which let’s face it is the real reason we watch the live stream!
Ben spends his winters out in Cape Town and teams up with Colin for very special clinics providing top level coaching for advanced wave sailors.
